I am gradually moving old posts from my earlier blog over here. This one about birthday cake was written a couple of years ago and I hope will inspire you to make one too.
I got what I hoped for my birthday; a day off from chores. One friend brought lunch and another cooked tea, how lucky was that.

It’s an interesting perception that if it’s gluten or dairy free it’s healthier for us.
Hm…….. I’m not convinced. Have you seen the lists of ingredients on the processed packaged stuff on offer in our supermarkets, it’s alarming. I can’t even pronounce some of it far less know what it is.

A pretty picture you could give to anyone:
1. Gather together:
Various sheets and odds and ends of wrapping paper you like. (I collect bits and pieces of paper from all over and keep them in a box ready for projects like this as well as making cards etc)
A sheet of white paper
Glue – a glue stick is probably easiest.
Sharp scissors
A pencil
2. Make yourself a nice drink, if you’d like some music put it on, and create a pleasant space...
