The sort of cards I’m talking about are ones made with bits and bobs you have at home, or can easily get, NOT buying all that STUFF that you can get to stick on.
What you need:
Paper and stuff: I collect paper; old wrapping paper, any pretty paper that comes with or off anything, and I use it to decorate things including cards. I also hang on to anything pretty that may come in useful, dried flowers, leaves, wool, string, ribbons, I’m sure you get the idea.
Card: you can buy blanks or fold a sheet of cartridge paper in four.
Glue: something all-purpose and strong is best.
Imagination and a little time!
Is easy peasy, just cut and stick, and please don’t say your not creative, instead take a deep breath, relax and let yourself choose, don’t censor just go with the flow and allow.
I reckon that whatever you do the time, effort and thought counts for so much more, and will be recieved along with the card.
Thinking about it; it probably takes a lot less time and certainly enjoyment to do this than going out to the shops and hunting through all the mass-produced stuff out there.
ps. If you keep a stash of envelopes and stamps at home, it really makes this a simple thing to do.
