LOVE

The first panel that emerged was LOVE. This is what I felt during the drumming workshops, connected in love. I know that when I feel that deep connection to all that is it is LOVE that I feel. It is something different, and yet not, from that which I feel for my partner, children, friend or family.

I feel like there is a river of LOVE which connects us all. It’s something I find hard to describe, but I know when I feel it and it’s wonderful.

LOVE matters, LOVE connects, LOVE dissolves, LOVE eases, LOVE fills, LOVE is all around, it’s in us, it’s outside of us, it connects us, it’s universal.

Sometimes it is small and subtle , other times huge and overwhelming, but it is always there, and it is an aim of mine to look for it, to allow myself to feel it, to let it in, and to give it freely to all I encounter as best I can.

This prayer came to mind the morning I felt inspired to create this panel.

Be thou a bright flame before us: Be thou a guiding star above us:Be thou a smooth path beneath us;

Kindle thou in our hearts within,A flame of love for our neighbor, To our foes, to our friends, to our kindred all:To all men on this broad Earth.
